While a Legionella Risk Assessment and an ongoing water management programme are essential for reducing the risk of Legionnaires’ disease, there are situations where remedial works are required to further improve system safety and compliance.
At CLIRA, our dedicated after-sales team works closely with clients to develop practical, cost-effective and tailored remedial action plans. These are designed around the specific needs of your organisation, ensuring any improvements are proportionate, effective, and fully compliant.
All remedial works are carried out by highly trained and experienced plumbers with specialist Legionella knowledge, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with ACoP L8 guidance and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
We offer a comprehensive range of remedial works, including:
- Installation and replacement of thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs)
- Removal of dead-legs, redundant pipework and unwanted system sections
- Installation, replacement and refurbishment of cold water storage tanks
- Tank cleaning, disinfection and relining
- Installation and replacement of tank components (lids, ball valves, overflow and vent kits)
- Insulation of water storage tanks and associated pipework
- Reconfiguration of pipework within storage tanks to improve circulation
- Installation of pumps, stopcocks, isolation valves and double check valves
- Conversion of systems to mains-fed supply where appropriate

Our engineers are fully qualified, insured, and hold enhanced DBS certification, ensuring all works are carried out safely and professionally within occupied environments. Every project is fully documented and certificated, providing complete traceability and peace of mind.
